I'm not confused about this anymore but I'm sure you will be. Have any idea what it is?No it's not Cousin Itt from the Addams Family. This is called a Vakul from Batanes, Philippines. It is a woman’s native headgear and covers the head up to the waist to protect the women from the heat of the sun and the rain. It is made from the abaca fiber of the palm found only in Batanes that locals call vuyavuy. They say it takes three weeks to a month to make one of these, but it lasts a lifetime.
Wow, that is really interesting - great interpretation. x
Wow - how fascinating! I thought it was a wig!
Wow...you are a mind reader....I AM CONFUSED. Good job you told us what it was otherwise I would still be confused. Great pic.
