"An island within a lake, within an island, within a lake, within an island," that is Taal Volcano in Tagaytay, Philippines. This was taken in July of last year. To get to the crater where I took this photo, you have to travel around 2 hours to Tagaytay from Manila, take a 30 minute boat ride to the island and then either hike or ride a horse for an hour up to the top. But the view once you get there is gorgeous so it was all worth it.

I have to put the others in another container so I can close this tall one. I have another big container just for lollipops, and another big one for chocolates ... and they're all overflowing. I think we have too much candy (-_-)

I bought this after visiting a shrine in Japan. Not sure what it's called but it's a small Daruma and the paper inside has your fortune. You pull the string to get it.

A book by Og Mandino - The Twelfth Angel.

UDPATE:

Shannon asked what the book is all about but instead of telling you, i'll just write down what's written on the cover of the book.

"One of the most touching books I have ever read. If every discouraged person would be motivated by its never-give-up spirit, there would be a lot more happy people." - Norman Vincent Peale

And here's another one.

"Mandino skillfully tells this story and fills it with familiar characters we want to care about. Through this emotional story, he makes the point that life needs to be lived to the fullest using whatever gifts we have. He also suggests we could do ourselves a favor by recognizing the angels that live around us." - The Wilmington News Journal

Monday, January 7, 2008

I can make you guess what this is but none of you'll be able to (^_^) So this is what it is - . I got this from Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines. Not exactly sure what material they used, same as what is used for basket weaving I guess. But it does have lots of folds in it (^_^)
