12 years old, I danced the "Singkil" for our school's field day and I was the princess. Singkil is a royal Muslim Dance (originating from Lanao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines) performed with quick steps through four crisscrossed bamboo poles to the rhythm of brass gongs.
