This is a diorama of a manatee at the American Museum of Natural History. Their dioramas are so lifelike, they are able to capture the environment and the animals so beautifully. Doesn't this look so real like I photographed it underwater?

Ever since my son was little, he can sleep anywhere, anytime, and in any position. This was in May 2004, he was 2 years old. He was put in time out and was crying and crying and then ... silence. When I checked, he was asleep already (^_^) He can even sleep standing up, with just his head on the arm of the sofa, and he won't fall. Amazing!

These are 12 paper-thin bookmarks from China, made of some kind of wood. The 12 girls on the front represent the 12 beauties of Chinling, characters from the great classical Chinese novel "A Dream of Red Mansions". I'm not sure what the writings on the back are ... maybe it's the name of the girl on the front and the noble family they're from. These are so delicate that I couldn't even bear to take them off the plastic and use them. I'm afraid they'll break!

12 years old, I danced the "Singkil" for our school's field day and I was the princess. Singkil is a royal Muslim Dance (originating from Lanao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines) performed with quick steps through four crisscrossed bamboo poles to the rhythm of brass gongs.
